Brigitte Neufeld is a Registered Psychotherapist with a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto. As well as her Masters of Education, she has received training in EMDR therapy, an evidence-based treatment for trauma; mindfulness therapy, a treatment to reduce stress; as well as addictions counselling training and dissociation treatment training.

Brigitte specializes in the treatment of trauma-related issues such as PTSD, complex PTSD (childhood or ongoing abuse or neglect), Addictions, Anxiety and Depression. Her philosophy is that the psychological, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of a person all work together as an integrative whole and are ideally treated from this perspective in order to restore balanced living.

Brigitte uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, along with a range of other therapeutic components that are research informed. She uses a psychodynamic approach that draws upon aspects of these therapies in order to help people come to understand what interferes and blocks their mental health and wellbeing.
