Patricia is a graduate addictions counsellor, a certified member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP), an Internationally Certified Drug and Alcohol Counsellor, an Internationally Certified Clinical Supervisor with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF), a Certified Problem Gambling Counsellor with the Canadian Problem Gambling Certification Board and a Certificate in Trauma Counselling.
Patricia provides counselling/therapy for individuals, couples and families to address lifestyle, relationship, self- esteem and issues the client identifies. She specializes in addictions and problem gambling. Patricia uses a non- judgmental, client centred, holistic approach using various proven strategies including C.B.T. to build on the client’s strengths on the road to recovery.
Patricia was employed in a variety of roles in an intensive addiction treatment program for over 20 years. Her experience includes program design, establishing a problem gambling treatment program, aftercare, individual and group therapy, assessment and co -occurring disorders.

She has presented at various conferences across Canada and in the United States and is interviewed on radio and television.
“A focus of my work over the years has been the opportunity to provide counselling/therapy to police officers and their family members. One of the very rewarding highlights for me is a unique, confidential, weekly support group for police officers, active or retired, from any police service, which I began in 1999 and continue to facilitate.“
