I am a member of the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), and am working towards getting registered with the Ontario College of Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Mental Health Therapists.
I have worked with diverse clientele, and have a vast understanding of cultural differences. I have experience working with individuals presenting with depression and anxiety, as well as substance abuse, addictions, trauma, gender, anger management, relationships, and self-esteem concerns. I believe in taking an empathic and eclectic approach to counselling, incorporating strategies and techniques from various theoretical approaches to suit the needs of each client.
I graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Psychology from the University of Toronto. I then completed my Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health Counselling from Durham College.
I went on to complete my Masters of Arts in Psychology at the Adler Graduate Professional School. I am currently working toward my Certification in Sex Addiction Therapy from the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals.
