Melanie Craig M.SW., R.SW., Counsellor

Ms. Craig is a Registered Social Worker licensed by OCSWSSW. She holds a Bachelors degree in Cultural Anthropology from McGill University, a Masters Degree in Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University in New York, and a post-graduate designation (PHR) in Professional Human Resources from Pace University in New York.

Melanie has experience in diverse interdisciplinary settings including hospitals, corporations and community health centres throughout Canada and the US. Her clinical background includes 15 years of experience conducting in-depth bio psychosocial needs assessments, designing treatment plans and providing short and long-term counselling and coaching to children, adults, couples and families. Her clients include corporate individuals, immigrants and refugees, those dealing with fertility issues, post-traumatic stress, chronic pain and  cognitive impairments, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries.

She has provided supervision to staff and managed complimentary treatment programs such as art therapy and group therapy programs. She collaborates with teams of corporate directors, physicians, psychologists and social workers to develop comprehensive treatment plans for individuals experiencing psychosocial, cognitive and physical barriers.
