Jeaninne Cairns, RP (Q), MEd, BEd

Jeaninne is a Registered Psychotherapist (qualifying) with a Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. With a career initiated in education, she has spent the last 15 years supporting children, adolescents, adults and their families in various settings (school, university and community).

She believes clients are their own best experts about their lives, and strives to support them articulate their hopes and tap into the expertise that resides within. By using a direct and warm approach, she creates a non-judgmental environment that emphasizes opportunities for self-reflection and to learn skills that encourage confidence and success beyond therapy.

Jeaninne specialises in assisting individuals, specifically children, youth and their families with parenting, relational, attachment, and emotional concerns stemming from a range of presentations. She has a collaborative, client-centred approach, and draws on Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotion Focused, Cognitive Behavioural, Mindfulness, and Solution focused modalities to work with clients in identifying and working towards their personal goals.
