Joy has been in the field of educational counselling over 35 years and has provided service to a variety of public and private schools. She works under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist in administering assessments and helping individuals identify his/her learning needs so that he/she can achieve their potential. Joy has also been involved in helping schools develop educational interventions and supports to promote student growth and success. She counsels individuals with care and empathy, and it is important to her that individuals set realistic educational/career goals for themselves in consideration of their individual strengths and areas of need.

When Joy is not working with clients, she enjoys playing sports like baseball and hockey, and walking her dog Jersey. Her favourite weekend activity is spending time with her family, including her four grandchildren.
